Along with getting to know the student leaders of the Hearin Council to discuss the upcoming leadership retreat. It was also my job to make up the schedule for the retreat. This included reserving rooms at the hotel for meeting, providing locations for meals, creating fun and enriching teambuilders, reserving the university vehicles for the trip, and finally coming up with the itinerary of things to do while we are on the Gulf.
We are set to head 4 and a half hour to Foley, AL. During this time we will be doing a lot of team building sessions but more importantly, we will be focusing on the goals and objectives for the council for the upcoming year. Jessica has given me the task of motivating the council to come up with more creative and educational programming that the campus has not seen before. This is a task that I look forward to taking on. I know how it is to be a student leader and have a system that seems flawless and in no need of change. But I have also benefited from advisor who have challenged me to think deeper and harder when it came to bringing more innovative ideas to campus. This upcoming week will be essential in my planning as things have to get done as soon as possible.
P.S. Team Practicum please check your emails, the SACSA Report should be there ready for tomorrow's class!
