This has been very exciting past week at MUW. I was afforded the opportunity to meet with some of the student leaders from the Hearin Council. After explaining to them my responsibilities for the summer and my thoughts and ideas for the leadership retreat, things look to be in the up and up. The student were very honest about the things they liked about the past retreat and some things they would like to change. We actually met for a total of two hours and from the meeting, it seems as though me and the students really bonded over the time.
Along with meeting with students to discuss the retreat, I also had to continue to put the pieces together for the upcoming retreat. At times this has become a struggle. The hotel in particular has caused the most confusion. After calling several times for the correct Tax id number, we have decided to go with another location. This upcoming week I will be looking at other hotels for the retreat. Once that is complete, my plans are to begin putting together the materials for the retreat. Although I will not be in the office as much next week, I do think that the week will prove to be one of my busiest weeks.
