Carter Week 4.2: Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life

Things have been slow since the last orientation session.  However, I have been able to do some research about Greek programs at other schools to potentially start at MSU.  The program I have been researching in particular is the Greek Ambassadors Program.  I have enjoyed speaking with other schools about their Greek programs and how they do things.  It provides a bigger view of the picture.  Other than that, I have helped in planning and organizing sorority recruitment.  Even though recruitment will happen after my official time at my practicum, I am still looking forward to participating in any capacity that I can.

Speaking of recruitment, ladies, we need volunteers for Preference Night, August 17.  There will be two different shifts: 1-5pm and 5-9pm.  Essentially, you will be sitting at a computer helping the ladies going through recruitment make their final selections before Bid Day.  There will be a quick training to walk you through the  computer program.  If you are available, please just send me an email.  Also, if you know any other graduate ladies or staff or faculty who would be interested, please let me know.

So, until next week...
