Sellers - Week 1 The University of Alabama

Greetings!

 As my Mediterranean suntan begins to fade, I am becoming more and more excited about the opportunities that are before me. For the last five years I have only known MSU and the next ten weeks will allow me to see Student Affairs from a different perspective.

Activities –

-         I have been in constant contact with my site supervisor in order to arrange my June and July schedules and my living arrangements.

-         I hope to visit with my site supervisor by phone on Monday in order to complete my learning contract.

Reflection:

It is hard to believe that it is time to begin my practicum hours. I have really enjoyed getting to know my site supervisor and others who work in the department through various emails and phone calls. They seem very excited about me coming and are eager to help me have the best experience possible. My site supervisor is willing to let me see and learn anything within his department. This is exciting because although I have a great grasp on housing as a whole, I will benefit from learning the “ins and outs” of the operation. I also am very excited to understand and learn more about the campus culture at a different university.
