Reflection:
These are the wonderful ladies in the information center! |
My goal was to ask Brooke as many questions as I could so I could be prepared if someone asked me for help. I was reassured when I worked with Brooke because she was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about orientation and willing to teach me. Thanks for all your help girls, I appreciate each of you!!!

I look forward to helping with orientation next week and completing my practicum because I know this experience will help shape my professional development. I will continue to stay positive, teachable, and willing to make progress and I encourage you guys to do the same!
Sincerely,
P.S.
Just keep swimming
Great Blog Ashley! Loved the pictures. I am totally with you on feeling unsure about not knowing all the answers, especially when there are so many that could be asked! I think you have the right idea, just go forward and do the best you can, no one and know it all. I know your going to do a great job!

It was an absolute joy to have you shadow me on your first day. Remain confident in your abilities, because as you saw on your first day it is all about learning how to approach mini-crises. We call ourselves "Firefighters" because we are constantly putting out the "fires" that are sparked by students and parents. You are truly going to thrive in our office and I am so happy to have you on board! Hang in there and just keep swimming!
