Activities:

- Finished “What Can I Do with a Major?” Handout for students to see on Career Center website

-  Finished putting together a MSU Major list coded in the RIASEC model

- Advised students about future career paths

-  Critiqued several resumes for students

-  Started new project for the Career Center website

                 - Started learning about new video software system called Camtasia 8.1

                 - Watched several tutorials about Camtasia 8.1 to learn more about the video software

                 - For a Distance Learning Module for the Career Center website and what the Career Center                         offers students

 Reflection: 

            This week in the Career Center I have been fairly busy finishing multiple projects that I have been working on throughout the summer. First, I was glad to finish the “What Can I Do with a Major?” handouts so they can be put on the Career Center website soon for students to utilize this information what different majors entail. Second, I finished putting together an MSU Major list coded in the RIASEC model where students can look on the handout and find a particular major listed under a specific code to see if their personality and interest fits in with a specific major. Also this week I got the opportunity to advise some students about a possible career path they are interested in and what steps they need to take in order for them to reach their end goal. Throughout this practicum experience I really have learned what it means to be a great career counselor and I have loved my experience so far and hope to continue to learn more in the near future.
