Subject: Kristie Baxter- Week 1- Career Center, Mississippi State University

Activities:

·         Assisted with the freshmen orientation organizational fair to help students become aware of the services the career center has available

·         Helped advise and prepare schedules for undeclared freshmen orientation students

Journal:

The multiple activities I assisted with this week in the career center helped give me a clearer understanding just how important the career center is and what services are most useful for students. Providing adequate information to new freshmen students and parents when coming to the organizational fair helps students learn about the career center and what services are available to help them throughout their college career.

Getting the opportunity to help advise undeclared freshmen college students has been a great experience so far because this will help me when I get my first job because it allows me to work with students and help them decide which major is best for them. Working with undeclared freshmen college students, I hope to learn how to make a difference in their lives so they will become successful in the career path they chose for their future.
